Every now and then we are privileged to play a wedding for a couple who, above anything else, want to make their event simple, salubrious, and something they know their friends and family will love. Enter Emily and Andrew.
Emily came to us with one clear vision: she wanted good acoustic music, made by friends, one of whom had to play banjo and mandolin, and have a beard. Enter Dr. Alec Hunter.
We had an incredible time performing with a soup of talent from ANU School of Music. Andrew and Emily’s friends and family had a gorgeous afternoon filled with food, drink, laughter and celebration, and best of all, Alec introduced us to some amazing folk repertoire we’re itching to play again.
One of the things we really loved about this wedding (aside from how much the family and couple loved folk music) was how much heart Emily and Andrew had put into the entire event: every single chair had been collected by them over the course of their engagement. Which means Emily and Andrew are currently looking to re-home over 100 chairs. If you’re looking for a set, get in touch!
