Emerging Artist Award

On the last weekend in October, Hark the Heart were invited to attend the 2016 CAPO Awards. The Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation is a volunteer non-profit organisation that has supported the ACT region’s artists for over 30 years, by recognising and funding the talents of local musicians, writers, dancers, theatre-makers and visual artists.

This year, we have been working on a special project. We’ll give you a subtle hint: it’s a song. It’s about inclusivity. Are you surprised? We were when we received a call from CAPO to tell us we’d been awarded the National Press Club of Australia Emerging Artist Award for the exactly this project. We were THRILLED.
